NuWa is changing the warranty on all 2009 Hitchhikers.  This is primarily due to some of the suppliers being less than fair with the warranty they provide which is causing NuWa to "eat" warranty bills they shouldn't have to.  In the current environment they can no longer afford that luxury.  In summary the previous 18 month bumper to bumper warranty is being reduced to a 12 month term.  Additionally many of the "small" items (day night shade strings, foam seals , door adjustments, etc.) will only be covered for the first 90 days.  Some parts may have longer warranties covered by the supplier and if beyond the NuWa 12 month warranty, the warranty will be handled directly with the supplier.

The two year structural warranty is being more narrowly defined as "material and performance integrity of the laminated sidewall, roof and floors".  Chassis, glide room mechanisms, seals, rubber roof, suspension components, and fiberglass materials are covered by the suppliers warranty which may be less or more than 2 years.

What does this all mean?  The 2008 models are not only a great buy compared to current 2009 prices, but they also have a longer and more comprehensive warranty.
